ABOUT US Transmission Books and Microinfo Co., Ltd. (TBMC) has been providing various publications and services to academic libraries since 1981. Our goal has been to offer good, professional and efficient services to our clients. We represent internationally renowned publishers and information providers from the United States, Europe, Japan , etc. and distribute books, dissertations, microforms, CD- ROM databases and Web Databases in Taiwan and other Asian countries. Currently we are recognized as one of the leading content resource suppliers and have hundreds of library clients in the area. In addition to representing English language publications and databases, we have recognized a major market need to publish databases in Chinese and other major Asian languages. As a result, we invested in a major R&D project for a Chinese / English / Japanese full text retrieval system, and our first search engine was formally introduced in 1995. Since our initial endeavor in this area, we have continued to publish many Chinese/English/Japanese database products. At the request of government agencies, colleges, universities and research institutes, we have also produced many CD-ROM databases and Web databases. Our clients, mostly libraries in Taiwan , Mainland China , Hong Kong and Japan , have positively and consistently recognized the high quality of our products and services.

Our missions are,   ● Prepare for the advent of electronic publishing age   Electronic publishing combines media, such as Internet, DVD and CD-ROMs, with contents and retrieval system to make digitized information accessible throughout the world. TBMC represents and provides scores of high-quality databases and electronic publications in English to our customers in Taiwan and has advanced its reputation by providing professional services.   ● Provide Print On Demand (POD) Service   The digitization of periodicals, monographs and archives has many advantages including preserving forests, reducing paper usage, saving storage space and helping to preserve rare books. Information technology allows users to search, download and print electronic publications according to their needs. In other words, POD service has become an alternative way of publishing. TBMC is the best option for customers by representing and publishing various electronic resources.    ● Enrich Chinese online education and reference resources   Another major mission of our company is to enhance Chinese online education and reference resources. Professional staff of the TBMC Editing Department works with scholars and researchers to build databases by subject areas.
